That is correct. If a guy is 62 or older, he needs to go to Wilson's Creek and get his Golden Age Pass and then show that to the folks at the Corp office or one of the kiosks (when they are occupied) and he will get his pass for half price. That's what my dad did (I'm not near the age to get that benefit as of yet, myself ).

I mentioned a week or so ago that the rangers are going to work the parks all winter, so you had better be legal. Lots of folks think that just cause nobody is in the shack in the winter, that they can use the park for free. Not happening, if you are parked in the Corps parks and don't have the sticker, you will get caught.

I read that, you're absolutely correct.

IMHO now is not the time to be parking without an annual pass or a day parking pass. The corps ramps ( at least Mill Creek that I personally know about ) took a beating after the high water this year. That ramp looks like a war zone with all the craters on it, it's a mess. I really don't know of any other way for the corps to make repairs without issuing tickets for revenue. It's either ticket revenue or raising annual passes and day parking passes to make those needed repairs. It would probably be safe to say that most folks would rather see the needed revenue come from issued tickets.

Excuse my rambling, I'm sure you are more then aware of the situation.

On a brighter note, after thinking about this I'm going to stop by the corps and make a $37.50 dollar donation ( half of the cost of the ticket ) with hopes it will be used for repairs. Even though I have an annual pass, I failed to display it so the ticket was justified.
