Fished 13th & 14th up in the War Eagle arm. The wind about blew us back to Missouri...but it was well worth it! Caught right around 20 stripers and a couple nice white bass. There are MASSIVE clouds of tiny shad everywhere that the fish are tearing up. Those fish are going to grow like crazy the next couple years. Most came 15 ft and up to the surface all on 4-8 inch shiners. Saw one fella trolling bombers on downriggers catching some as well. Our average fish was in the 9lb range with a few up over 10. We had one on right around 20lbs that broke the hook right before we were able to net him.

The big ones should move up that way really soon. Can't wait to hit it again next weekend! C'mon 50 pounder!!!! :-):-)

Nice catch. Keep up the info.

I hope to get down that way myself when the weather improves. What ever happened to Global Warming idea..

I was out few days earlier. Caught a quick three right across from War Eagle marine in the White. :D All in the 10 to 12 pound range. Went back the next morning and the fish had left. Found them right around the corner in War Eagle but couldn't get a bite.

Downrigging with Bombers...may go with live bait next trip...or try both.

This morning the forecast for Thursday was in the 50's but windy...think I'll be back out Friday to avoid the wind.

Making Beaver Lake safe for all the little fish...one striper at a time.
