Fishing 12-28 Thru 12-30

I got down to Taney mid day Sun the 28th.

Wow... no where to park! looked like the Fall Brown run. Fishing was good, caught a lot of the "silver bullets" but I'm not seeing the numbers of fish one would normally see in the upper end.

No generation Sun, Mon, they turned on 1 unit Tue morn...report said they were to turn it off at 10am, they lied. 1 unit all day till 5pm, then 2 units. The wind was tough Tue afternoon. To make my back cast facing into the wind, all ya had to do was hold the rod straight up. The wind would take your line straight back and load the rod nicely!

My son Matt ended up with the big fish Monday, at Meramec Spring Park! Matt wasn't able to make it down to Taney with me this time, (orders from management...his wife)

Here the pix, a fat 25 incher, Matt said he was glad he had on his runnin shoes as he had to chase this one down. He gave his new net a good break in, he was always borrowing mine...so a perfect Christmas present! And I have my net back!!!
