Jason Essary Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Got some gift cards to use up. Going sunday. Was wondering what stickbait colors are the best for bass and/or walleye. Learned the dropshot last year, as best as I can fish it, thanks to beck for the tips. But this year im going to work on this stickbait that everyone seems to love. Would also like to work them on some walleye when they run. What has everyone had luck on? rps Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Several suggestions other than the classic suspending rogue in TR shad and clown: http://www.outdoorproshop.com/XCalibur-Xt3...twitch-bait.htm http://www.outdoorproshop.com/XCalibur-Xs4...-stick-bait.htm Look at pearl shad, pearl melon, and ghost.
focused fishing Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Hey Coyote, I'm a big fan of Lucky Craft Pointer 100's, they are more expensive but run true out of the package and cast great into the wind. Top three TR colors for me are: Chartreuse Shad Table Rock Shad Aurora Black Catch more bass than walleye on them but these three are my most productive colors. Flippin Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Eric, Have you been using the Lucky Craft DD or the SP lately?
focused fishing Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I use the SP 90% of the time, usually use the DD when the water is very cold and the fish are suspended in deeper tree tops. Right now the fish are so shallow (8' - 15') and aggressive the DD hasn't been as effective for me.
