Chief Grey Bear Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Here is a look at my first rainbow and brown for the year. Both succumbed to a jig that I had tied just the last night. Only got to fish for about an hour. It was just as well. The local freezer fillers started filtering in. Buzz Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Nice job Chief. It is nice having a lot of good spots to fish so close to home, even if all you have is an hour or two. Great way to start off the new year. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members bcfish Posted January 17, 2009 Members Posted January 17, 2009 i think i was there the same day. i just started fishing at capps and i really enjoy it. the first time i went out i caught 2 browns and 4 rainbows. the second time i went i caught 2 browns and 1 Rainbow. all released. the next two time that i went down i fished close to the parking lot at the mill and was totally skunked. this was jan 9th and 10th. went in from bridge all the way up to the dam. saw some but nobody wanted what i was selling. i dont want to know spots but are there fish being caught up by the darn and bridge area and maybe some ideas on what to use.
fishinSWMO Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Nice fish Chief. I was there the day after that with the boys, we seen a few fish jumping between the mill and bridge. Caught one little rainbow at lower access, before Andrew went in to deep with his waders . Jeremy Dodson
