KC ..... I agree with the comment on Flat Creek. There's some real nice SMBs in there and quite a large population. I've floated it many times and consider it one of the best. My favorite stretch is 39 bridge to the EE access but all the floats are good. PC

MC - Check out other pics of trips that Buzz and I have done on Shoal. There are some really nice fish in there. There were also a couple of nice trips that my dad and I took on Spring River last autumn in the Spring River(mo-ok) forum. It will give you an idea what you can get into around here.

I will certainly do that. I think I'm suffering from a little cabin fever and feeling an incredible urge to get out and do some wade fishin for some bass. Come on Spring!!!!

The two best times to go fishing? When it is raining and when it is not.

Great looking fish...can't believe it came out of Shoal Creek. Can't wait to get over in your neck of the woods this Spring.

MC,

I wasn't able to fish Shoal Creek last Winter and early Spring with all of the flooding, but believe it or not some of my biggest fish were caught in January, February, and March. You might not catch a lot of fish, but when you find them you might catch anywhere from 5 to 10 bass ranging from 2 to 5 lbs. and maybe in only one or two spots on the entire float. The quality more than makes up for the quantity. I'm sure Al can agree with that.

Buzz

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

Nice, its good to have that first one out the way early.

I need to get out and catch a few bass. I got a couple new jerkbaits that need to see some water.

I've been around, just been busy last couple months.

My son Andrew got hooked up with guitar hero for Christmas, I got addicted for a couple weeks. B)

I got some jigs made up this last week for some white bass

action coming up soon. Need to get the spoonbill rods ready for some snagging.

That was a chunky one from shoal last year, had nice colors. I need to get a small mount for the camera on float trips to

get better pics.
