CaptainT16 Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 My father (bodyman50) and I are going to be fishing RR on Sat morning for the first time. Just wondered if anyone else is planning on being down that way Sat morning? Would like to meet some of you guys and get some pointers for fishing there. We will probably just be fishing to fly only area and probably the catch and release portion of the stream. I wondered if that portion of the stream gets very crowded like the rest? I will probably be wearing my duck hunting camoflage waders, so you probably won't miss me, if you see me stop me and say hello. Good luck to everyone going this weekend and ready to fish this new stream for the first time. Can't wait! Hope to see some of you down there. Roaring River Veteran Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Captain, I'm not sure if I will make it down saturday morning or not but if I do I'll look you up. The fly area shouldn't be too busy and if you are in the catch and release area you may have 1 or 2 other people to deal with but that is it and you may be by yourself. use 6x tippet with a 14 to 18 tan scud or burlap on a scud hook. The weather may be a little cool in the morning but looks like a great weekend to fish. Good luck and good fishing RRV Good luck and Good fishing RRV

CaptainT16 Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 Thanks for the tips RR VET and I will keep my eye open KS. We are planning on fishing from open till prob around noon and then head on over to Taney. Hit two places in two days, can't wait. Looking forward to fishing both places, especially RR since I have never been there.
