On vacation next week and thought about running down to Norfork to do some striper fishing. I have never really targeted stripers, looking for advice for a rookie. I would prefer to catch them on artificials and would rather not hire a guide, I prefer to figure it out myself. I was thinking of launching around Tecumseh, with the low lake levels is there enough water, I am assuming that Stripers will run up the creeks along with White Bass, if so have they started the run yet? I am sure that he cold weather slowed them a little. Just looking for a little advice. Thanks,

I would hire a guide, you will learn more and have a memorable vacation. Stripers can be tough to locate and easily spooked, hire a guide and you'll say it was the best money you ever spent. See ya on the water!
