BadKarma Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Maybe it's just me, but it feels kinda strange to book 3 days at Roaring River Resort and I just live an hour away! Well, I'm meeting up with my great uncle for a day of fishing and to see if I can hook up with one of those monsters. We'll see how it goes. March 7-9. I'll be wearing my OzarksAnglers hat. Gonna pick it up today. Also, gonna try and stop in and say Howdy to Tim. Lee Don't worry about life, your not going to survive it anyway. Go fishing instead.
Members Grant Miller Posted February 2, 2009 Members Posted February 2, 2009 I can't tell from the post whether or not you've met Tim before. I just wanted to say a few words about Tim for those who have yet to meet him as I'm sure that folks will come across this thread in the future. If you've met him already, you already know what I'm about to say is true. Any trip to Roaring River really should start out at Tim's place. He not only knows exactly what you need to do to catch fish at any given time and in any given conditions, but he'll tell you without hesitation. He's just one of those super nice people who treats you like he grew up next door to you from the first time you meet him. If you want to catch fish at RR, all you need to do is ask Tim and heed his advice. I'm sure Tim will read this and wonder who I am. I'm sure he'd never in a million years be able to pick me out of the crowd down there, but suffice to say I am any one of the thousands of good folks who have passed through his shop over the years and left thinking how great it was to talk to him for a few minutes. BadKarma Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 Heading over there Saturday morning for 3 days. Can't wait. Don't worry about life, your not going to survive it anyway. Go fishing instead.
DaddyO Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Ditto to what Grant Miller said. I've only been to RR twice, but, both times I stopped by Tim's Fly Shop and Tim was spot-on with his advice. In addition to good advice, Tim also has good products. As long as you are stopping by to see him, give him your business too. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
Members diamond64 Posted March 4, 2009 Members Posted March 4, 2009 Tim's shop is a must stop when going to RR. With out a doubt is the nicest place to stop for a freindly bit of advice while spending quality time with the family.
Members warlock Posted March 5, 2009 Members Posted March 5, 2009 Karma, We're still on for Sunday. The family and I are planning on leaving in the morning. I will try to wake them up asap, but the wife likes to sleep in on weekends so...If it was just me heading down I would be up at 4:30 and head out by 5 to be there by the opening horn, but with the family tagging along, who knows.... Phones don't work well in the valley, so we'll drive around and find you. I"m really excited, see you Sunday. Warlock
timsfly Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 If you are an Alltel customer, you'll have full power on your phone, the tower was activated the last week in feb. It was off today for most of the day, doing some work on it already I guess, but it was back on when I left this evening.
