Stayed with my brother in Springfield on Wednesday evening and left first thing Thursday morning(5am). I called and was excited to hear only two units were running. By the time I got down there, 4 units were going so I tied up and hit outlet two. Did really well with a grey scud and san juan worms(red and brown). Biggest fish of the day was a 19.5 inch rainbow. It was cold when I first showed up, but by 11am, I was down to a light jacket. Got hungry around 1pm so I left to meet up with my buddies. We all come down once a year in January. They all like to bait fish so I come down a bit early to get some use out of my waders. I did go out and fish with them Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. We all caught our limits using one white and either pink or orange as the second power egg.

I had enough of that on Friday afternoon and the water was shut off so I decided to leave them behind and fished right out from the boat ramp down from the dam. I tied on an #18 black zebra midge with a gold bead and silver wire and never had to change my fly. Caught a bunch.

Saturday was cold, so I decided to fish from the boat. Again, white egg with another color was the ticket. I also tried a white jig and a count down rapala and caught several

Only fished for an hour on Sunday morning before the trip back to STL. Overall, great trip.
