405z06 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I live in Fenton and, to be honest, I have never heard of it. I found a couple of MDC pages that suggest that there are bass there, but nothing to be found of any substance while "googling". It's close enough that I will probably run out there on a warm day in the next couple of weeks out of curiosity. I will update then.
Members Shores Posted March 30, 2009 Members Posted March 30, 2009 Anybody ever fish Labarque Creek where it enters the Meramec? At Young Conservation Area? Ever catch any Smallies? I go squirrel and rabbit hunting ( should call it hiking cause I never shot anything there) and that creek is rather small. It may be fun with a micro or fly rod in the summer, but I doubt there is anything in the Young Conservation area over maybe a 1-1.5lbs at most. Good wading stream in the summer would be my bet.
Geoff Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 the MDC, or atlkeast the lady i talked to about it, said that Labarque creek is a water shed creek and will dry up when there isnt enough rain to sustain it. "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
