Forsythian Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Saw on the internet that Hammond Mill was for sale... it apparently is set up for private residence... hmmm, a guy can dream, but I'm guessing "tough go" with the whole flood-plain mortgage insurance thing... anybody been by there lately? Brian Wise Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Hey Forsythian, sorry man, just saw that pm. The Hammond that is for sale isn't the Hammond you may know on the North Fork of the White. It is on the Little North Fork on the western part of Ozark County....and yes, it tends to flood in that general area. It has been a while since I have been by there but I did hear the owners were remodeling it. Cool area. Brian My Youtube Channel
Forsythian Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Ah yeah, thanks Brian... it's by Thornfield, above Theodosia... thanks! Cenosillicaphobiac
Members huz001 Posted February 28, 2009 Members Posted February 28, 2009 It has been for sale for almost 4 years now. It is on the Little North Fork bank which now bypasses the mill dam now. In 1996 it was gorgeous and the grounds including the log cabin near perfect. I almost bought it because it was close to Spring Valley Ranch Trout resort on Turkey Creek (about 3/4 mile walk). Saw a black bear near the mill in 1996 also.
