Zack Hoyt Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Headed out yesterday morning when I saw the generation had stopped. The drive over was breathtaking with the new snowfall. Wish I had my camera. Got on the water about 10am at the Dam site. There were about three other people fishing. The very small fish were hitting the top of the water like crazy. I assume this was due to the snowflakes. I switched flies heavily with little luck. The wind was extremely gusty and it seemed the fish were LOW. All of the fish I caught were on the bottom. I was false setting due to dragging. They ended up hitting a small lightening bug pattern, but even then it was very casual takes. Fished till about 3pm. Moved to the walkin, then to Parker. About 5 fish caught overall. Not so successful in fish, but was a great time to be able to study the water and learn where the vanes and structure were. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
