River Clean Up March 8th

floating down the river in a jon boat loaded with a dish washer and a 55 gallon drum was fun in itself

Russ, thanks to you and Jean-Anne for making us all feel at home. Best beanie weenies I have had in a LONG time. Definately going to be on my list of river side lunches.

We are planning a float and fish for Sunday. Leaving Hog Heaven to low water or Mt. Shira. Maybe cooking some food along the way.

I will probably be in for this one......gotta figure out a time to fish though. Anyone up for a daybreak float/fish then cleanup? We could do Hog Heaven to Riverside or even go above Hog Heaven and float in.

Edit: I may just shoot for launching at Pineville at around sunup and float into Hog Heaven. I think that might be the easiest float.

How was the fishing? I missed reading the invite or I would have been in. I really wanted to join the river clean up last weekend but had some other plans already that got in the way.

Let me know when you plan another one and I will do my best to make it.

Fishing was pretty slow, but I am afraid the weather was against us. There were plenty of fish in site, but not really hitting on anything. Ended up doing more fishing than cleaning on this trip.

I fished Shoal creek on Sunday and it wasn't too bad. Not many Smallmouth but some decent large mouth fishing. It is just going to get better for the next month though so I am really looking forward to some good smallmouth trips down sugar and elk. Maybe I will see you on the creek one of these days.

CDC, I can pretty well say if you see a pontoon thats blue in color, it will be me. I sure got alot of funny looks and questions about it my last couple trips down. Also any time I stop to get gas. Looking forward to seeing ya on the river.
