binman Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I was just wondering if any one has been down by the Aldrich area fishing for whites and if they are there Brandon Inman
Members HYDE Posted March 13, 2009 Members Posted March 13, 2009 i would say if the weather holds up next sunday could be prime time if you can fight everyone off i checked the weather.com and its supposed to be in the 60's starting tues the 17th thru the weekend. when i was up there 3/13 there were lots of little ones and i DO mean little ones caught, tons of boat and bank traffic. water between orleans and taylors bridges was 57-60 depending on the depth. if you do go up the river be careful the lakes at power pool so stay in the channel the best you can until it drops off before the mouth of the lil sac. i hope to be up there 3/19-3/20. i'll try to not to catch them all.
binman Posted March 13, 2009 Author Posted March 13, 2009 Well I am going to go this week end so I will let you know how we do Brandon Inman
Members Hillbilly Bass Posted March 15, 2009 Members Posted March 15, 2009 I haven't been but my father-in-law said the banks were lined down at CC. I guess the only thing they caught was really small males. I betcha they just are starting and that cold front pushed back to deep water. If are weather guessers are right and temps hold true next week oughta be some good fishin'.
binman Posted March 16, 2009 Author Posted March 16, 2009 I went down today with BRBF and went all over the lake and river we caught 2 small whites maybe (8 in.)and a few small bass also a carp. It was definately tough talked to almost every one in a boat said 1 or 2 keepers by 3:00 this after noon also alot of boat traffic and heavy pressure all along the Iron Bridge to taylor saw a few crappie caught but not many.I am going to Taylor bridge tomorrow for a while I will let you know how i do Brandon Inman
Members HYDE Posted March 16, 2009 Members Posted March 16, 2009 WELL IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE THE WEATHER IS GONNA BE GOOD STARTING LATE WEDNESDAY. SO LOOKS LIKE FRIDAY OR TOMARROW AFTERNOON MIGHT BE THE ONLY TIMES I COULD GET OUT. BUT THE RAIN IS SUPPOSED TO BE WARM AND NEXT WEEK WE ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK ON MY COUSINS HOUSE....WHO JUST HAPPENS TO LIVE 1 MILE FROM THE ALDRICH BRIDGE!!!!LOOKS LIKE THE BOAT IS GOING TO GO TO WORK WITH ME A COUPLE OF DAYS!!! LOL JUST REMEMBER GUYS IF THE BITE AINT ON DURING THE DAY AT STOCKTON SOME TIMES THIS TIME OF YEAR ITS GANG BUSTERS AFTER THE SUN GOES DOWN. (CRAPPIE, WALLEYES)
bigredbirdfan Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Just to confirm binman we fished from 8a.m.-3p.m. and the only whites we caught were small dink males. Electronics showed fish everywhere around aldrich bridge and up in little sac as well. We are guessing the females and larger males are staged ready for warmer weather. The water temperature was 48-49.5 degress. My guess is the white bass will go crazy next weekend while I am in AR.
binman Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 I will save you some fillets BRBF since you was nice enough to take me fishing but I can say it was a cold S.O.B!!! Brandon Inman
