OKFlyFisher44 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 According to the generation schedule...they're planning on running water most of the day on monday which was my original plan as far as going. So I'm going to try and sneak off to Zink tomorrow afternoon/evening sometime and do some fishing. Hopefully the warmer temps from today and into tomorrow will get the fish active! Anyone else coming down? Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Chasing the Dream...
emjay Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 low discharge, warming temps should be decent if not good fishing for you then. good luck and report back if your catching them!

Anyone else coming down? OKFlyFisher44, How was the fishing? I was thinking about going yesterday but decided to tie some flies instead. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
OKFlyFisher44 Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 It was a crap-shoot. I got down there around 4:00 or so. Yeah, it was flowing a full-bore. Don't know where I messed up into thinking there would be some good wading conditions but boy was I wrong. I gave it a shot for about an hour but there was just too much water. There was low water today for almost 4 hours but I couldn't get away as I was playing Mr. Mom while the wife was away on a shopping spree, which I don't mind at all. Stupid corp. of engineers... Okieflyfisher53 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I got down there around 2:00 or so and got in 30-45 minutes of fishing before I noticed that the water was rising. Caught this one just before I left I also caught a decent hybrid and a couple of white bass earlier, and missed a couple of strikes. Steve
