lonkm Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 My wife and I went out this evening, checking the coves and creeks below Hogan. Went to mincy creek first. Lots of bait but the only bites were most likely blue gill. Felt that way. Then we went to Bee Creek and went all the way back to where the raod comes in from the south. Lookin for whites, crappie mostly. Caught a couple small white males, 15 1/4 in lmb, nice size gill and a 14 in trout. What a surprise that was. It was full of eggs. I didn't know there would be any trout in that part of the lake. Turned it loose cause I don't like their taste. Nice Bow though.
taxidermist Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 AGFC stocks over 200,000 rainbows per year in Bull. In years past Browns were stocked along with Lakers! I have caught a lot of bows in Bear Creek and around Tucker Hollow, we used to setup lights below Peel and catch lots of 22-24inch bows. They were always bright soft scaled fish little color.
