Members Hillbilly Bass Posted March 19, 2009 Members Posted March 19, 2009 Fished Monday caught lots of crappie 6-8 inch range witha few 10-12 inch. I think we ended up with 5 keepers. Caught lots of small male whites and ended up with 3 good females. Some were all caught in 15' to 16' of water, but several crappie were a foot off the bank. We caught some on minnows but the majority was on red and white 2" tube jigs. We went back yesterday and wound up with 5 keeper crappie and 2 keeper whites and just like Monday caught tons of small fish. It was a little more windy and seemed a tougher fishing. The crappie werent as shallow as the day before. We went back today and had a good day. We caught all of our fish in 15' to 18' of water. A few were caught on minnows, some were caught on red and white tube jigs, but today red and chartruese was the hot color for whites and crappie. We probably ended up with 10 sows and 10 keeper crappie some 12 or 13 inch fish. We haven't hit the mother load yet but I hope its soon. I used to fish Aldrich all the time but moved to Miller so CC is much closer. The water temp was 56 and 57 so maybe its still early. I haven't heard anyone tear'in anything up yet so maybe im not alone. What do you think?
