Fishing Buddy Don House Posted March 19, 2009 Fishing Buddy Posted March 19, 2009 Went out today and finally had a day worth reporting on Table Rock Lake.. Spent a full day fishing the stickbait and it paid off with two dozen very nice keeper bass for my clients and a few really nice kicker Blacks as well.. We spent our time in the major creek arms around Kimberling City, and found a pretty neat pattern that lasted all day for us. All fish found today were on the inside of secondary points in the main lake creeks about half way back in the creek. Points needed to have a steeper banks with larger chunk rock banks and atleast 30 - 40 feet under the boat. Long casts to the bank with sharp jerks and long pauses up to 30 sec count. Fish would just slam the paused bait. Fish were really loaded in these areas and roaming the shallows around ledges up shallow. The bait we were fishing was a Lucky Craft Pointer 98 Suspened at 6 foot. Not too sure about the name but it has a chart stripe along the side with a light purple top and white bottom. Was surprized as to how deep and how shallow these fish were today, had both right close by... All in All a great day Everyone had Fun in the Sun! Good Fishing Everyone... Capt. gabe Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I believe the color you are referring to is called Chartruese Shad. Same color Gagliardi was throwing.

edwin Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Found the exact thing yesterday afternoon, as well as today. The long pause was somewhat painful but well worth the effort "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
Whack'emGood Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Thanks for the report Don. Nice job! What were the water temps where you were fishing? edyer Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Yup, that is it!! Thanks Gabe.. Good Fishing Don, Were you using the regular pointer or the deeper diving one like the FLW winner said he was throwing? I'll tell Dan Shine up here in MI that I sent a "HI" from him to you. I used to teach with his wife Judy and he told me last year he knew you. Good luck on the fishing and thanks for the reports. Ed

That's one of my favorite areas of the lake to fish and I have been waiting for the water temps there to reach 50+, so that is very good news to me. Thanks again and good luck on the water.
