Members tpierce Posted March 20, 2009 Members Posted March 20, 2009 Mentioned earlier this week we were taking some 12-13 yr. olds from Hollister (Table Rock Jr. Bassmasters). We were looking for as many bites as we could get. I appreciate info about where there were some whites biting on TRock (you know who you are). Decided after reading the reports that the upper end of Bull Shoals was the spot for our crew. I had 3 boys in my boat, my brother had his 7th grade daughter and another 8th grade girl from the club, and Tim had two other boys. Started up one of the feeder creeks at about 8 am and started catching some small bass, a white or two, and crappie. Couldn't really find the whites so we started throwing grubs out of our boat and caught them steady the rest of the day. Ended up with 29 bass, mixed bag, with 3 keepers. Three slab crappie and a small walley and a couple of gills just for fun. Best part of the day was watching one of the boys catch them on a grub, who had never fished artificials before and land the biggest bass of the day which was close to 4lbs. "I thought I was caught on the bottom!" was his direct words as he lipped the chunk. The other boats had similar results with some keeper spinnerbait fish caught as well. Great time. I've guided for a while now in the area and I guarantee that was more fun than trying to please paying adult fisherman. Take care and take a kid fishing... there's nothing better! Tucker
