If you see a tan Ford 4x4, come give us some tips on the hot spots! Hope to have some pictures later. Should be a great day to be out and I tied up some secret jigs last night for a trial I LOVE THE SMELL OF FRESH GOGGLE EYE IN THE MORNING!
Members crappie crippler Posted March 22, 2009 Author Members Posted March 22, 2009 Not a bad day fishing. Did not have much luck until around noon. Finished the day with 4 rainbows, 1 brown, and several chubs! Tyler was in stalking mode and pulled it out at the end of the day. Tyler 7 Dad 5 . Most were caught near the RV park. The secret jig turned out to be a winner this time! Talked to a couple guys that thought the creek had not been stocked lately. I don't know. I LOVE THE SMELL OF FRESH GOGGLE EYE IN THE MORNING!

Buzz Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Nice looking jigs crappie crippler. Glad you guys had a good day on the creek. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
fishinSWMO Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I heard that it was stocked on 3/18. Nice looking jigs. Jeremy Dodson
ozark trout fisher Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Not a bad day fishing. Did not have much luck until around noon. Finished the day with 4 rainbows, 1 brown, and several chubs! Members crappie crippler Posted March 31, 2009 Author Members Posted March 31, 2009 It was a great day. Even if the fishing is slow it is fun to show the youngun how the creek flows, where the minnows gather, good holes vs. bad holes, etc... Always a good time! Tyler is finally at the age where he actually pays attention and does not start chucking rocks midway through a sentence. Ozark: I had to ask one of the other guys watching us if it was a brown. First one I had caught! Did not measure it, but around 10". They do have a posting for browns. 15" is min. length limit. Other than that I have heard of very few other browns being caught there. I LOVE THE SMELL OF FRESH GOGGLE EYE IN THE MORNING!
