Buzz and I took a trip to Sping River in Jasper County today. Boy was it tough. The fish were sticking very tight to structure and would not chase. You had to bonk them on the nose. All fish today were Kentuckies too. Well, except for one largemouth. I ended up with only 9 and Buzz had 7.

They sure as heck was fat though. Each one was fat pigs. And there wasn't any mistaking you had made a connection with them either. It was fish on, no question. Another thing you could count on was that once you caught one, you just as well move on. You were not going to pick another one out of there. I think only twice today we caught more than one from a spot.

Just another great day on a river in the Ozarks. As it was ment to be!

Flipping jigs into the lay downs in the morning and finally catching them on the rocky banks.

They sure weren't wanting to chase anything but, when you hooked one they put up one heck of a fight.

I can't believe we caught so many more Kentucky's than Largemouth. Definitely a different kind of day.

Hope to see you down here Wader.

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.

I think these posts need to be in the Spring River (MO/AR) forum, up the page about 15 spots...

I think this forum is for topics regarding the Spring/Neosho Rivers in Oklahoma. I think the posts for Jasper Co Spring River is perfect for the other Spring River forum.

Well, we don't have a forum for this Spring River in Missouri. So since this is the same Spring River that ends up in Grand Lake, this is the one I have chosen to use. The other Spring River forum you are talking about is on the other side of the state and runs into Arkansas. I would hate to put my post there and confuse the rest of the readers.

I guess I will start using the "Other Ozark Waters" forum since this obviously bothers you. Sorry I didn't mean to tread in on your territory. I thought it covered all of Spring River. My fault.

If the administrators would like, they may move all of my Spring River post to the "Other Ozark Waters" foum. Your call.

Shouldn't you really be posting in the Grand Lake forum anyway? Technically that is where you are fishing.
