Members troutman11 Posted March 24, 2009 Members Posted March 24, 2009 I just fished for catfish with chicken livers for the first time. I still have lots leftover and plan to use them to go fishing with again. I am wondering if I should store them in the freezer to keep them frozen and then thaw before fishing??? Or should I keep them in the fridge to just keep them cold??? BORN TO FISH!!!.......forced to work...
Members crappie crippler Posted March 24, 2009 Members Posted March 24, 2009 Troutman I would freeze them. The day before you plan to use them again, set them out in the sun and mix a bit of cornmeal and flour with them. They will get stinky and thicken up a bit. If you don't use them all, drop them in a frying pan and eat them! Not really, don't want to eat them. You can wrap some old panty hose around them to keep them mushy rascals on the hook. I LOVE THE SMELL OF FRESH GOGGLE EYE IN THE MORNING!
