Members benjisdad Posted April 9, 2009 Members Posted April 9, 2009 Howdy All!!!!...Well it has been almost a year since my last visit. My wife and I are making a trip sans children...wooohooooo.... ... Any way, we'll be arriving the 3rd of May for a week of fishing and some R&R. What might I expect in May in Taney? We are staying at Rockaway Beach, did pretty good trolling and casting spoons last year. Can we do about the same? I'd love to hook into a brown trout, any suggestions there? Acutally any and all suggestions on species and technique would be greatly appreciated. Any suggestions for fishing Table Rock or Bull Scholls would be good as well... I want to thank you all in advance, last year you all were more than helpful with info and we had a great time. I will post a report of our trip when we get back and if any of you are close to Rockaway and want to say hello let me know.. Thanks again all..

zander Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 As far as trolling for the trout on the lower end of Taneycomo, that you can do year round with success. The same types of lures that worked last time will work this time too. That is one of the nice things about fishing down there, even if your original fishing plan ends up not working, trolling down there pretty much always will and can be a day saver. As far as the info on the other lakes, I'd just be watching those parts of the forum as it gets closer to the time you'll be down here. There will be folks posting what types of patterns have been working for them at that time.

I'm down there next week, predicting 6-8 in of rain. You will have plenty flow. Hopefully I will get rid of the rain for ya! But as Duckydoty sez...rain won't bother them fish...they are already wet! have a good one The only good line is a tight line
