Members benjisdad Posted April 9, 2009 Members Posted April 9, 2009 ...Hey all...my wife and I are heading down to Rockaway Beach the first week of May.. We've never fished Bull Shoals and thought about giving it a try for a day or two...we plan on fishing Taney but thought about giving Bull Shoals a try as well. Any suggestions on where to go from Rockaway Beach and what might we target at that time? Will walleye still be a good fish to go for? Crappie? Anything...LOL.. ...Thanks for the info all!!...

tippett7 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I would start at the dam and just troll down to Swan Creek with large rapallas. My buddy and I went last Saturday and were trolling the left bank as your going up to the dam and he caught a 4lb walley on a rainbow rapalla. If you fish the other side of the bank closer to Swan Creek with live minnows you can catch some white bass and largemouth as well.

Just be careful about 300 yards upstream of Swan creek on the right side it is shallow right now and I almost ruined a prop there a few weeks ago.
