I put in last night at State Park only had about 3 hrs. to fish so just decided instead of running to sons creek I was going to fish this area I found last week bass fishing it was about a 5 min run from State Park so it would give me more time to fish I caught 10 keepers and 1 short in a 2 hour period then it started to get dark so I decided to head back my biggest was a black crappie about 14 in. none where caught on minnows all on plastics

My boat was in 26 and I was dropping down about 10-15 ft. caught 4 on a road runner and the others on a white grub

Suspended, eh? Nice job finding them! I went all day today (poor = bank fisher) and they must have moved into deeper water with this front - I went lower than Aldrich to a place that'll usually hold 5 to a limit, and couldn't buy a bite! (except for some lgmth bass that obviously felt sorry for me). Went up to the dam to try for some windy walleye and caught a fairly decent smallmouth (around 13 inches or so) and the biggest white bass I've ever caught - but no walleye. I was bummed - my favorite crappie place failed me for the first time ever, and I have yet to catch a walleye this season (I've had four up to the bank!!!) But on the bright side, the white bass was tasty - I almost preferred it over crappie! :P Cold and wet and windy today. Who knows if this wacky weather will ever stabilize, and if it does, whether it will coincide with any time off I might have...

I found a ton of crappie schooled deep in 26-38 ft of water but the trick is to get them to bite like I said I was using shiners got one pull but was too slow setting the grub pole down to set the hook.I would have thought they would hit my shiner before my grub but I have been wrong before. The place I was fishing was a new spot that I had yet to try it was supposed to be a back-up in case my go to spot was miserable. So far the spots i got are all firing up and working at the same time don't know how long it will stay but I will keep you posted
