Members redfish Posted April 12, 2009 Members Posted April 12, 2009 Whacky Worm, Glory Daze, River Scotty, Eagle One Larry, Wild Man Rob, and Redfish floated from Owl's Nest to Hog Heaven. It was a great float, as much as I hate to say it, only one fish was caught and that was by redfish, but it was a fantastic float. We cooked blue burger bombs and hot dogs. It was a good day to float. That's all for now. Have a nice float!!!!!!!!!

But, if all of you guys only boated 1 fish total. We may have to consider another stream. Just kidding, I'm sure it was just the weather, lol. wader
Zack Hoyt Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 One fish and it was probably foul hooked......we know how that Redfish guy fishes...... Good report. Rains this weekend will have it rolling. I may have to sneak up and play with the toon in the higher waters. Looking forward to getting up there with the fly gear again. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
Members c & r Posted April 13, 2009 Members Posted April 13, 2009 Redfish, Do you know if that HUGH LOGJAM is still hung up on Indian Creek??????? I believe it was up above Lanagan. Thanks,
GloryDaze Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 So let me set the stage for Red's fish: We were throwin' everything we had at them- heck I even tried a crankbait I was gettting so desperate. There were so many spots that looked good but we were not even getting a nibble. Well we're at Gracies (I think) and within a mile of being finished when I feel that tug on the end of the line, not once, not twice but three times- well it had been so long since I even got a nibble I was half a sleep (or maybe drunk) and totally missed him. Meanwhile Red is floating behind me and asks me if I missed one? I said it had been so long I forgot what the nibble of a fish on the pole felt like- I was no sooner done telling him that and he says- "You mean THAT type of nibble?" I look over he's setting the hook like it was a 20incher but in reality it couldn't have been bigger that 8"- It didn't matter though because he landed it and then screamed so loud the folks down at Low Water probably heard him. Needless to say it was pretty darn funny, but what made it worse was we had a bet: 1st Fish Biggest Fish Most Fish He won all three with a darn 8" dinker!! He was a good sport and only claimed prize for the 1st one caught- Overall, it was a blast and despite the lack of fish we had a great time and everyone ran Craig O Lea except Redfish- See you guys soon- Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory

It was a great float and had a great time. The funny thing was that, yes I didn't go over Craig O Lea, but I was the only one that wasn't pumping water out of my boat. I'm looking forward to doing it again, next time we should catch more fish. Have a good float
