Had a great morning in the woods.

Called in two big gobblers a 0630. Flew out of the tree and walked to me within 10 minutes. They were broadside at 40 yards and I passed as I was unsure of the distance at the time. They walked over a little ridge and gobbled their heads off within 100-200 yards until 0830. I moved to a better position and had another hunter screw them up.... walked right into them.

Back to the truck. Drove a mile to another ridge and went in blind at 0945. No gobbling but I knew there were some nearby. At 1030 heard a bird open up maybe 250 yds away on the next ridge. Made some agressive box calls and long story short called up 2 more adults, killed one at 11 am at 20 yards. 21.4 pounds, 10.25" beard and 1" spurs.

4 longbeards within range in one morning. About the most fun I have had for $17 since I went to Mexico in college.

Adrenaline has worn off and I have a bird to clean.

congrats guys. My morning didnt go as well as yours but still had a fun and interesting time. I had 2 Good gobblers w/ in 200 yards gobbling their heads off to every sound in the woods and @ about 6:30 a hen few down in front of me and took the closest gobbler across a tree line. then about 6:45 I had another hen fly over my head and land on the other side of a river. About 10 minutes later I had an egret try to land in my lap until i moved my hand then it got the heck out of dodge. I also saw 3 does about 10 geese and I dont even know how many ducks fly over. lots of wildlife just no shooting. I put my gun away around 9:00 and grabbed my fishing pole and ended the day w/ about 25 white bass between me and a buddy
