4x4 Tow Vehicle

What are the best options for a tow vehicle? Want to find something in the 2002 to 2004 range. I have a 193 champion, single axle trailer with a surge brake. I dont know if a mid size or a full size v8 will do. Want to fish some ares that dont have a cement ramp. Concerned about the weight to pull my boat out safely.
