Members largemouthjoe Posted April 29, 2009 Members Posted April 29, 2009 Went to Stockton yesterday afternoon with my brother in law. Got on the lake at about 5 and flipped a road runner a few times. Caught a couple small males around 9 inches around some stick ups so we anchored and started fishing with minnows. Caught six big females around that stick up all about 14 inches and probably 25 or 30 more small males. Finished fishing a cove until about 8:30 and ended up bringing home 10 good fish all around 14 inches and caught a total of atleast 60 fish. To bad the rain and thunder is coming because the fishing is great right now. We talked to quite a few people that had caught 20 or 30 keepers through the day. Good luck to anyway going that way.
DOITLOOKIT Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I have been catching quality crappie at Stockton. The fish I am catching are not close to the bank, but rather they are on hardwood in about 10 to 20 foot near channel swings in Sons and Turnback creeks. Some of the largest males I have caught in several years. The ratio of males to females as of today are 5 to 1. Not sure what is going to happen to them with the upcoming large amouts of rain.
