Members ubear111 Posted May 3, 2009 Members Posted May 3, 2009 hi ..... just looking around and trying to learn about Taneycomo. i already learned enough to book 6 nights at Lilly's landing - Saturday May 16 to May 22. i have a tracker panfish for my wife and i to fish out of. have reserved boat slip to keep the boat in the water. my wife and i are blue gill fishermen --- otherthan catfish form our pond ... we use ultralights and small lures. i fished Taneycomo around 1978 - hired a guid named Milo Holvick. we fished drifting red worms and trolling cowbells. we were at the trout dock in downtown. Milo fished a stick steered boat. a heck of a nice man ... he made a positive impression on my life! not many people that i can remember their name after this many years. i fished a few times over teh years using the same techniques. i had Milo take my dad and i out. we did not fish aneycomo for about 20 years. we made 3 trips over the past 2 years and have fished teh exact same way - but to throw a mepps to catch 2 trout. we never were able to stay over a day or two. have caught 2 browns - 12 and 20 inch this year, we will have 6 nights and 7 days to fish ... i want to try different things... i have never ... a. gone into trophy area b. jig fished c. got wife to catch a brown d. caught trout on many lures. e. used fly rod on trout so parden me as i wander about and try to find out more about this lake. thanks for teh site...
