Members knees Posted April 6, 2006 Members Posted April 6, 2006 By then it will be ON! Went today just up from Bucksaw and only managed 6. It was very windy and I couldn't keep my light jon boat where I needed it. The 6 I caught were on the bank--throw it to shore and 2 cranks--wham. Talked to several guys that were leaving as I was putting in (2 pm) and they all said they were just starting and on the banks in that area. Good Luck.
Members KCdan Posted April 10, 2006 Members Posted April 10, 2006 I tried the Bucksaw area yesterday (Sunday) and couldn't get the crappie to bite. Am I the only one? I'll try again next weekend.
Members bubbaray Posted April 21, 2006 Author Members Posted April 21, 2006 Well we went op on easter weekend first time I had been there in years. We put in at Windsor crossing. Other than the white capping winds we had a great time. Caught lots of fish on minnows right on to about 8 foot off the bank, but out of probably 60 fish a day we only got eight keepers all weekend. Seems there are lots of small ones. The keepers we got were from 12 to 14 inches and really thick. All and all it was a good trip. It's always a good trip if your catching something.
