Night Fishing

New to the board. Been coming to the Rock for 20+ years and you guys are right there is hardly ever any info on night fishing conditions. We come two to three times a year for 3 to 4 nights. Last year the water was so high we went to Lake of the Ozarks and hammered them. Don't want to drive the extra time and would love to come back where we know the lake. Two years ago we got in one cove and never came out it was so good. But the last 10 years as a whole has been a lot of hit and miss. Of course we always come around the full moon, but it has been very disappointing as a whole for a long time. Does anyone feel the same way or am I just imagining it? Coming back for the full moon in June, we usually fish the James River area around Cape Fair. Are there places that we are not fishing that are head over heels better? thanks for the opinions. Just wanting to make some memorable trips for my son and I.
