Members jimrandolph Posted May 13, 2009 Members Posted May 13, 2009 I was wondering what the canoeing and fishing traffic / pressure is like on just a random weekday after Memorial Day into the summer. I typically shut down my river going after Memorial Day until after Labor Day due to the usually high numbers of drunken a-holes that exist outdoors at that time. I thought maybe because this river is not as tourist-like, and there are not resorts and outfitters all along the river, it may stay quieter. I was scheduled to come down several weeks ago, but the weather flushed us out...needless to say, my cabin rental is still waiting for me in Alton, but I was just wondering to try it this late into the spring or wait until fall? -Jim
Brian Sloss Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 A week day in the summer is usually not very crowded. I take guide trips in July on weekdays and often only see a handful of other people. It is not like the other rivers in that regard. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
