Was just searchin around on the internet the other day and came across this japanese form of fly fishing called "Tenkara". Apparently, its alot like normal fly fishing, but they dont use a reel.

Has anyone seen this done before or ever tried it? It looks like it would be interesting...

Looks like you are basically tossing a long leader and tippet out there. Rods look similiar to the crappie rods. Interesting.
