timsfly Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Wow, we mssed a big one, sorry for everyone that had damage, sounded like it was nasty, north and south of the park. The river didn't come up at all, if fact it is still falling a bit everyday, looking good for kids day. Bring the little ones down sat. kids day will be fun, and exciting for everyone. The hatchery will provide, bait, hooks, line, sinkers and they have some rods and reels for day use if you forget to bring one with you. Jerry Dean works his hind end off to make this thing great for the kids, so come down and help out, the hatchery will stock the river several times a day, and there will be lots of big over 3lb fish in the water, and a few over 6lbs or so I was told. So the water is fine, you have no excuse for bringing the kids down, the lawn will wait. See ya on the water Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Fishmeister Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Tim, Thanks for the information. We are heading down Friday evening to camp for two nights. Hope the weather allows the kids to have a good day. The wife, our twelve year old daughter and I have a blast at kids fishing day.
