Jeremy Hunt Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 So with tons of hours on the water and experimenting on the vise for the last five months, I finally found one that really works. The right profile and the hooks are both key for triggering big browns. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
Randall Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Sick dude... doesn't look like there's a whole lot to em but they have to move like none other. Are those some of the Galloup patterns you customized or are they all yours? What's that sculpin pattern in the background of the first pic? It looks pretty fishy too... can't see it real well but I'm thinking a wool head with rabbit strip collar and maybe body? Cute animals taste better.
Jeremy Hunt Posted May 19, 2009 Author Posted May 19, 2009 Randall, I got a little idea from Kelly's patterns, but all me my friend. The sculpin, I'm keeping that under the hat until the article comes out, then I'll put it on the site with how to steps. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
Danimal Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I'll bet that'll catch a smallmouth or two. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
tippett7 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Nice flies. Do they work better than the famous Circus Peanut?
Jeremy Hunt Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 Nice flies. Do they work better than the famous Circus Peanut? Nothing works better than the peanut, but if you're after BIG browns, this is the one to use. Two days ago I had two browns that were both pushing 30 inches. The first one got off and the second one took my fly,but that's ok because I got to see the take and I'm figuring out what get's these big browns to eat during the day. It really is amazing. I fished Taney yesterday in the low cfs levels in the morning and these trout like streamers here as well. I turned two that were pushing 22-23inches, both rainbows.
