BlueWave Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I will be heading down to the Lake this weekend. Anyone still seeing Stripers on top? I found them in the Ventris area a couple of weeks ago, but have not been down since. Thanks.
Members coloradofly Posted May 21, 2009 Members Posted May 21, 2009 I was out last night fishing, We hit a massive school of stripers and hybrids and we caught fish non stop for 45 min. without even moving the boat. They hit on top water and jerk baits in shad color. (i was pretty upset that i did not have my fly rod with me!!) look for flooded timber and stick ups off main lake points, or the mouths of major coves. although people will tell you stripers are not structure fish, the past 3 weeks i have only caught fish that were in or near stick ups off main lake points.
FishinCricket Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Geeeez, you got me all excited! I said to myself: "Top water Strippers?! Now that's what LOZ needs! Wonder if the girls would get motion sickess from being up on the poles when the tide changes? So many questions... cricket.c21.com
