Members jesse Posted June 5, 2009 Members Posted June 5, 2009 just wanting everyone's input on the spot where they catch there biggest cat's. i've caught and lost some good one's around the log's by the bridge and right in front of the flood gate's on the second spillway closet to the vfw side, nothing over 20 pound's yet at the dam other than a spoonbill on accident last year. i would love to take a afternoon trip to truman atleast once,i havnt lived here that long and heard it is better than bagnell. also i took a trip to the MO river in jeff and fished some of the dike's but i was limited on foot so i cant wait to take the boat out and cover more ground to get into one of them bigun's hiding arond the scour hole's. input on truman and going upriver on the MO in jeff would be nice;) not downriver from the boat ramp, still breakin in my new motor.thanks.

I got my largest one right at the boat ramp in October. Bagnell simply doesn't have the high number of large cats as Warsaw. Most cats out of Bagnell average 2lbs. The pic is from the fall. Ps. just got back from Bagell........... the fish is ok/good. Not like last weekend, but worth going. Angler At Law

Members ctcustoms Posted June 5, 2009 Members Posted June 5, 2009 On Monday I got three drum over 8lbs.! The biggest drum I have ever seen! I caught a white bass last night that when I brought it in had someones line wrapped around it. I started pulling on the line and pulled up a huge drum, alive. He had broke off the line from someone else. It was one of the strangest things I have ever done fishing, not sure how the bass got tangled and stayed tangled. I will be headed down tomorrow about 6ish. Red Triton 21' glass boat Give me a shout if you figure out where the fish are I know I need all the help I can get.

I think you have to be below the bridge to purposefully snag anything. Good luck, I don't know if I am heading down on Sat. or Sunday. I will let you know. Angler At Law

I will let you know. You can NOT snag anything right now. Snagging season only runs from march 15 to april 30th. You WILL get a ticket if you get caught.
