Members Dan052 Posted August 1, 2009 Members Posted August 1, 2009 I've had 2 close in size.... first at Fellows lake of all places....about 8 years ago, on a motor oil colored plastic worm, in the heat of the summer. We were fishing some of the laydowns in the backs of coves, in about 4-5 feet of water, i snagged a 8lb 4oz. The other was just a couple years ago, right at 8lbs, on Table Rock in the middle of the night on a black colorado spinner bait. Probably about 2am, hooked in about 15 feet of water on the way up to the boat. Thought I had a catfish at first, considering it stayed down for a while. Both were a lot of fun...although, the biggest one I have had hooked.....by far was the pomme bass that I told a story about in another thread...at LEAST 10lbs.....at least.

Brian K. Shaffer Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Wooly Bugger... olive... size 6, the fish was around 5 or so pounds. Caught plenty of little schoolie bass on flies too. Getting bass on dry flies is stellar. Bass are nothing but big stupid bluegill by the way. Members clivus Posted December 13, 2009 Members Posted December 13, 2009 Not me, but my 14 yr old niece landed a 8 lb. 4 oz. largemouth out of my dad's 2 acre pond on a silver/black jointed rapala minnow. My fishing buddy landed a 6 lb.-er on a black quarter oz. offset spinner from the same pond. My largest was a 4lb-er on a 3" junebug colored tube.
