Thanks. I saw they shut the gates, but I am hoping they open them back up. Be careful in the heat............ Stick with it... you WILL get in to the cats down there. I have simply caught too many fish down there not to belive in the spot. Angler At Law

I have simply caught too many fish down there not to belive in the spot. yeah i feel much better since i got home and took a shower.might take the boat out tommorow night and try some spots. not sure if i want to try the dam or the river around tuscumbia. i seen some people on the vfw side getting into some there at the end of the drive were people sometime put there boat's in. i like that side for number's i guess i've never caught anything over 3 pound's there. right downriver a little way's from there though is a good spot also, has a rock cliff and is kind of deep, not sure how deep but i've caught a couple 5-7 lber's there, using stinkbait. im gonna have to start bass fishing there again,i did when i first moved here and then just started catfishing all the time. i have a creek by my house that has TON'S off bass in it that average 2 pound's. the saline creek. catch the hell out of all kind's of bass there anytime i go,unless the water's muddy. caught a couple smallmouth out of it. not very big though. im gonna post some pic's of some fish i caught,im not sure about some of the bass,if there just largemouth's or spot's or small's so ill see what everyone else think's. also some spoonbill i accidently got,and a cat that got away last year that i took a pic of cause i knew he was gonna get away...had no dipnet and only 12pnd test on a small baitcaster.ill put them up in a sec.

Nice fish. Next time try throwing a white (silver) bomber fat free shad (you can buy them at Walmart) or a Rapala shad rap along the VFW side when the water is running. Following the bank (a cast away) all the way down to the bridge and you will catch a fish (or several!!!) every drift. Tight lines. Angler At Law
