smallmouthjoe Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I went to B.P. the other day and noticed that they no longer carry the hook I use to Texas rig tubes with. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
et84 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I use Gamakatsu Skip Gap hooks, size 2/0 or 3/0. Pro Bass shows them on their website, but I don't know if they have them in the store. Wally World put a ton of Gamakatsu hooks in all different styles on clearance last year for .25 or .50/ pack, so needless to say I stocked up and haven't bought hooks since. I bet I have over 50 unopened packs left!!! I have had good luck with the skip gaps though, and I would pay $3.00/pack if I had to. Hope this helps. Members troutman11 Posted June 30, 2009 Members Posted June 30, 2009 use a treble hook, just poke a hole in the tube and thread the line through and tie a treble hook on (preferably red) but it doesn't really matter. Using a treble hook doesn't affect the spin of the tube and it hooks the fish easily! BORN TO FISH!!!.......forced to work...
