the bite is light , the wind is heavy and the sun is a cooker.perfect... thats what I was grumbling as we put in 2hrs late today , with the wifey in tow armed with the camera I was determined to show some proof of these great bass I have been catching for the past few weeks . It turns out I was in luck the dinks were in hiding and the monsters were out to play.. obviously these are no trophy bass but what more can you expect from a 800 acre lake that is notorious for skunking most. these bass are still very shallow and very timid.. soft plastics are still producing very well , motor- oil worms , spinerbaits , and some topwater..if numbers is the game stay with the plastic worm or crawdad. If your looking for size stick with a spook.. same as last report for the most part

that last one there is 5lbs others never dipped below 2-3lbs..... talked to everyone I seen ,no one else had the gumption to drive strait onto the weed beds ,they also didnt have a 17lbs bag in 3 hrs ,most had caught little to nothing and were not receptive to the fact that these fish were REALLY really shallow ...get in the weeds , there is almost nothing that can hurt your prop on those flats and its the only way I have found recently to put numbers and size in your boat. good luck , btw I noticed alot more people on south side of the lake ya'll starting to believe me ?... lol .. I dont mind just make room for me :P

Those are some nice fish! We were gonna fish out there today, but we're goin' tonight instead, my brother's burnt pretty good from a float earlier in the week, and the sun woulda cooked us in my little jon boat.
