podum Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Need a little advice for this time of year. (1) which side? (2) generally is fishing good between 8 and 12 at night? (3) suggestions on where in the water column (eg. light baits that drift vs. heavy jigs on the bottom). Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks. I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
slider Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Try a topwater from 8 till just before dark. Have been having luck on whites after dark until about midnight. I always try to fish shallow so try a small jighead, 1/32, 1/24 to a 1/16. Fish bettles or swimming minnows in dark colers. Have not been catching to many keeper crappie but have heard about others having some luck. Slider DONT EVER GIVE UP MOSES WAS A BASKET CASE ONCE!
podum Posted July 1, 2009 Author Posted July 1, 2009 thank you sir. which side do you recommend? I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
slider Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I fish on the east side most of the time, but have friends that fish on the west side and they do about the same as we do. I think at times each side is the better bet depending on the water flow. Slider DONT EVER GIVE UP MOSES WAS A BASKET CASE ONCE!
