ozark trout fisher Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Just curious if anyone has any idea whether the Cane Bluff to Greer stretch of river will be floatable next week.... Considering that as one of our floats.
Brian Sloss Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 It is getting lower and slower, but should be fine. I have guys float/fishing it today. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497

Members bvp81 Posted July 2, 2009 Members Posted July 2, 2009 I'm going to be floating the 11pt July 17-19. Will we be able to float Cane's Bluff to Greer then or will we need to start at Greer? Last year we did Cane's Bluff to Riverton and we would like to do a float that's about the same distance. Where's a good place to take out if we start at Greer and still want to do about 30 miles? Thanks bvp
ozark trout fisher Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Thanks a lot. Well, we just finalized our plans. Gonna go from Greer to Riverton in three days, camping along the river. Really looking forward to it. Just stocked up on Panther Martins and Little Cleos today.
Brian Sloss Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 bvp81 Greer to 142 would another option. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Members bvp81 Posted July 5, 2009 Members Posted July 5, 2009 bvp81 Greer to 142 would another option. How long is that float? We really liked the smallmouth fishing from Cane's Bluff to Greer, but the smallie action slowed down once we got to Greer. We had fun catching trout, but we're not real good at it, so we'd like to fish some good smallie waters. Is the section from Riverton to 146 more trout or smallies?
Brian Sloss Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Greer to 142 is 29 miles and the Riverton to 142 stretch is mostly smallie water. There are smallies everywhere though. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
