shaker Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Went to the dam area yesterday afternoon fished to about 8:00 PM caught 40 to 50 hybrids with a few whites mixed in, mostly on small swim baits and swimming minnows. Had few over 18" but most were 12" to 16" fun anyway!
redbird Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Good for you, how deep were you fishing? Think they would have hit a clouser? Im not a Cardinals fan, but I am a Cardinal. If you know me you know what that means.
shaker Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 We caught most of these fish on top of the weir in front of the power house. When we got there in the middle of the afternoon the fish were holding down maybe 3 to 5 ft. from the top of the water but later you had to bump the rocks down about 15' to get hit, don't make sense should be the other way around but thats hybrid fishing. I would think that would be hard to fly fish and there is a lot of other boats around too. After thinking about it that might be a great idea, when somebody starts crowding you a little get out the fly rod and start whipping it around, that'll back em off a little!
