Fishing Buddy Don House Posted July 9, 2009 Fishing Buddy Posted July 9, 2009 Still really great fish in and around the deep water trees, from Big Cedar to Schooner Creek in Kimberling City. I have watched these fish move from depths of 20 - 25 feet all the way down to 40 - 50 feet now and with more HOT weather on it's way it will really move these fish into the trees. Good fish are starting to bite on the outsides of the trees, look for large groups of shad right on the outside of these trees, bass are right under them. Still spending alot of time looking for trees that the tops of them come right up to the 35 - 45 foot range the larger fish are right in the middle and just a few feet down in the tree top. That is my really big fish bites, today we had 3 fish over 4.5 pounds and lot's of 3 pounders.. Drop Shot and 1/2 ounce white Spoons are really working the best in these areas, even if you are just dragging the main lake points with crawlers, the fish are there. My Plastic bite is good if you understand the three bites and Nightcrawlers are just unreal for the clients! Sorry no pictures we are really on a catch and get these guys fissed and back in ASAP. This hot weather and being dragged up from 50 foot just hurts them bad. Get out early hop points and trees, just be ready for the tubers and boogy boards to come running by, It's summer time on the Rock! Good Fishing and Enjoy Don House Capt.
