I grew up across the street from this place. My mom actually worked on the assembly line one summer. We were always finding rods and reels, where they had fallen off of the back of a truck. My older brother even found a fly rod once. They had a casting pond in front of their offices and there was a Polo Pony farm behind them called Cavalier Farms. That brings back memories.

I like the William Joseph vests and stuff!! About ten years ago I bought a 8wt. Browning Fly reel for $5.00, still use it as my lender.

Went first thing this morning with my dad. Bought a 7/8 wt. Martin Large Arbor for $10.00, some nice ultra lights for $5.00, some Zebco/Fin nor spinning reels for $10.00 and an Offshore Rollerguide Boat rod For $25.00. Lots of people shaking rods all over the place, watch your eyes!

I'm glad you made it out. Those first 2 hours of the day it was a mad house! I really enjoy interacting with the public and seeing people walk out of there with 20 combos in their arms. And there was still tons left at the end of the day.

Let us know when the have other one. For someone who might own a small convience store or marina near water, you could make some money stocking up on combos. Christmas presents too!!

I went this morning right at 7am. I was surprised to see so many people. I purchased 2 of the Martin Fly Rod/Reel combos for $40 each and 2 Fly Reels to have as spares for $10 each. I kinda wish that I had purchased another one of the Fly Rod Combos. I plan on giving them to a couple of guys at work for what it cost me and now I'm wishing that I had picked up an extra one for me to have around as a loaner. All in all it was a good deal.

Thanks also for the heads up. I bought a ridiculous amount of stuff. Incredible deals.

I got one the last fly rods that wasn't part of a combo- a pretty nice looking 9' 5wt for $10. Bought several spinning outfits ($5 rods -$10 fin-nor reels) a pretty nice baitcasting combo for $20 as well as fly reels and a nice chest pack.

I got there at 7:15 and just missed the fly rod that were'nt part of a combo....dang! I did get 3 fly reels, 4 combos and two reels. I got a really nice quantum 10 bearing spinning reel combo with a nice IM8 rod. It has really nice Fuji guides and delux grip for a wopping $12 bucks. I think the best buy was an Omega reel for my son for $15. It feels really solid. I'll see how long it takes him to destroy this one...lol

I'll be looking forward to the next one.
