Members Malarkey Posted July 11, 2009 Members Posted July 11, 2009 Tim, went to tie some of those mini buggers and have had a hard time coming up with hackle that is small enough to tie those 14 or 16's. That happens to be one of my favorite fly's and thought you might be able to tell me what to look for. thanks Chris
timsfly Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Chris, I use the Whiting farms saddle hackles when tying the #14 and #16 baby buggers. Some of the better metz saddles are small enough, but I use the Whiting farms stuff most of the time. Greg Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Tim Can I ask what sizes you tie these mini buggers in? Do you have a pic of one? Thanks, Greg "My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it" - Koos Brandt Greg Mitchell
