Ft. Wood Stretch

Had another good day on the Piney. We caught about 15 bass (most of them spots) on 4" pumpkin seed power worm. I had forgot the spilt shot for a carolina rig so we were just letting it dfrift with the current over the rocks and weed beds, worked great. Most of them were on the smaller side but did catch one nice smalley (about two lbs) and a nice largemouth that I failed to get a picture of.

Sounds like a good day on the river. I've been wanting to float that stretch. Where did you put in and take out? Are there any good gravel bars to stop and camp for the night? Any obstacles to be concerned with?

You can float the hole stretch through post in less than a day . there are no obstacles and the outdoor adventure center on post will even drop you off up river if you want.

Floated that stretch years back out of Rich's. Caught a couple of nice smallmouth. It was October and the leaves were great. Does Rich still do that trip?
